Word can be defined as a group of letters which gives you complete sense or complete meaning 

For eg. Boat,Knife, 

for the beginners, there arises a question that what is a letter?

Letter is a symbol taken from the Alphabet 

For eg. b,h,g etc

In simple words we can say that alphabet is a whole chart of 26(symbols or letters) of English Language
